Following the success of "Home is Where the heART Is" project which illuminated the community's understanding of home as a place of comfort and security, we are excited to introduce "Patchwork Pathways: A Creative Journey to the New Campus." As our 6-12 campus transitions in December 2025, supported by a grant from the GAR foundation and the Ohio Arts Council, this collaborative public art project's goal is to transform student pathways into welcoming and thought-provoking spaces. By installing vibrant vinyl wraps on utility boxes and expressive imagery on painted sidewalks, we aim to provide clear wayfinding, enhance safety, and cultivate a strong sense of community and positive school culture for every student's journey.
What images could make you feel comfort and safety as you walk to school?
How do the colors and forms look all put together?
A nerve wracking presentation of the class ideas to the Public Art board. Seeking approval for the installation of utility boxes and painted sidewalks.
This was made possible by the Incredible support of a GAR Foundation Grant: This grant supported all the supplies needed to create these wonderful sidewalk murals and the means to have student art made into vinyl wraps for utility boxes all along Portage Trail in Cuyahoga falls Ohio.
