Morgan Luttrell's congressional campaign for TX-08 is recruiting interns for the duration of the general election.
This an excellent opportunity for students to build resumes and establish rapport for their future professional and academic careers. Interns will gain experience within our campaign by strengthening their interpersonal skills through constituent interaction (via canvassing and phone banking). In addition, depending on their location near our headquarters, they will be able to gain professional office experience and will have the opportunity to attend events with Mr. Luttrell.
Mr. Luttrell was born and raised in Willis, Texas, and grew up locally in our district. This is an excellent opportunity for students to be involved with Mr. Luttrell.
In Texas, high school students age 16 years and older can get paid to work on Election Day. We would like to encourage students across Harris County to apply to work in the upcoming November 8, 2022 cycle. Please note this is not a guaranteed position
When students serve on Election Day they receive:
· $17 an hour
· Paid training
· An excused absence from school (up to 2 days per school year)
· A letter of recommendation from Elections Administrator
New this year!! When students apply, an email will be sent directly to the principal for their consent.
District 38 includes Cypress Woods Highschool. As a Wesley Hunt Intern, we can offer you service hours, leadership experience, letters of recommendation, and a personal connection to Wesley. On top of all of that, students can say that they helped elect a new congressman with a bright future ahead of him.
Lesley Briones, a candidate for Harris County Commissioner Precinct 4, is looking for interns, of all experience levels, to join our grassroots campaign team.
This internship will teach your students the nuts and bolts of creating and growing a grassroots field program, how to successfully run a GOTV (Get-Out-the-Vote) operation, and will give them access to professional campaign staff with years of high level experience on top statewide campaigns.
Our campaign is on the cutting edge of modern campaign technology and tactics, and joining this campaign provides your students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with techniques most other campaigns aren’t using yet.
The campaign internship program is designed to be an informative and educational experience – providing an entry-level launching point for future careers in politics or continued civic engagement here in Houston. Program participants will engage with voters in their communities, learn from and work directly with seasoned campaign staff, and hear from a number of guest speakers. Hours are flexible and will be worked into your student’s school schedules. We are more than happy to write letters of recommendation for interns who complete our program, which ends after the election on May 24th.
To apply for an internship or a fellowship with the Lesley Briones County Commissioner Campaign, email a copy of your resume to Levi@Lesleybriones.com with the subject line “Intern Applicant” or fill out an application at https://forms.gle/zwAf5NEXzSGYo8Ue9

Exploring is based on a unique and dynamic relationship between youth and the organizations in their communities. Local community organizations initiate an Explorer post by matching their people and program resources to the interests of young people in the community. The result is a program of activities that helps youth pursue their special interests, grow, and develop.
