These are a really important part of your Physics GCSE. Up to 30% of the marks in your final exam can come from using equations and performing calculations, so it's crucial that you remember all of the equations and feel comfortable using them.
You will be give all of the equations, so you don't need to learn these. You can have a look at that formula sheet here (the first sheet is for single science the second sheet is for double award):
Here are all of the equations that you need to learn on one page. All students sit the higher paper. Double students can ignore the questions marked with an ^.
The only way to learn and remember the equations is to practice practice practice!!!!! There are lots of excellent resources available to help you learn them. Here are some suggestions (apart from writing them on your bedroom wall so you see them everyday!) :
23 equations app for smart phone or google play (select your exam board - AQA higher - then single or combined science)
Crazy songs on youtube - so many to choose from!
Quizlet or homemade flash cards
Do you know the difference between repeatable and reproducible? Have a look at this vocab sheet and make sure you know the key terms.
Revision will make a huge contribution to your exam success.
Understanding the lesson in class is only a tiny fraction of work you need to do.
You need to know the information inside out and back to front, be able to recall it at the drop of a hat and apply your knowledge to unfamiliar situations!
There are many places where you go for revision support here are some suggests of what to do:
