Respiration or breathing
Respiration is the process of taking in oxygen and giving out carbon dioxide. External respiration that involves the inhalation and exhalation of gases and the internal respiration that involves the exchange of gases between blood and body cells.
Organs involved in the respiratory system
The respiratory system consists of all the organs involved in breathing. These include mouth and nose, trachea, lungs, bronchi, bronchioles and diaphragm.
