Reflective practice is learning through and from experience towards gaining new insights of self and practice.

These resources can be used to support your own reflective practice.
You are encouraged to take the lead for your own learning. It is intended to be a self-paced process to support personal and professional growth.
Consider your own readiness for learning and the formats you find engaging as you start this process, then proceed to other types of resources that may enhance and expand your thinking related to reflective practice.
Reflection is a daily practice. You reflect while you engage with children, families, and colleagues. You also may reflect on your work while engaging in day to day activities, perhaps in your car or while waiting in line at the grocery store.
The CKC’s identify what the workforce should know and be able to do in working with and/or on behalf of children and families.
This makes them the jumping off point for making decisions about places of growth and change in practice.
Reflection is the first step in growth- answering the question, where am I and where do I want to get to. In implementing the CKC’s, in making them come to life, users of the CKC’s engage in processes of reflection.
