Building Core Knowledge and Competencies Through Reflection

The purpose of this website is to provide support, resources and tools to guide and encourage reflective practice in early learning environments across Connecticut.

The CT Core Knowledge and Competencies  identify what Early Childhood Professionals should know and be able to do in working with and on behalf of children and families.  This makes them the jumping off point for ongoing decisions about areas of professional growth and change in practice.  

Reflection is an essential skill and a critical daily practice in ongoing professional growth for all Early Childhood Professionals. Reflective Supervision is a process that Early Childhood Leaders can utilize in relationships with staff to support ongoing reflection.
