If the student is underage, an adult will need to go with them in order to provide their signature.
Stay calm and do a quick headcount to confirm who is missing
Ask nearby students for the last known location and time they were seen
Inform the Group Leader immediately if they are not already aware
Contact Management and the Activity Coordinator without delay — do not wait before escalating
Follow instructions from Management and remain on location unless told otherwise
Listen carefully and take the student somewhere private to speak openly
Gather key details — who is involved, what happened, when, and how often
Reassure the student that they have done the right thing by speaking up
Report to the Group Leader, Management, and Activity Coordinator immediately — do not attempt to resolve it yourself
Follow instructions from Management and ensure the student is not left alone in the meantime
Assess the injury and ensure the student is safe and not in immediate danger
Inform the Group Leader and report to Management and the Activity Coordinator immediately
If further medical attention is required, call 111 (urgent but not life-threatening) or 999 (emergency)
A student must always be accompanied by an adult — if a Group Leader is present, they accompany the student; if not, a yellow shirt or support staff member will go
Follow up with Management once the student has been seen
