Welcome to a highlight of your two-week English adventure in Oxford: our Magdalen Bridge punting trip!
Punting is a fun and traditional Oxford activity! A punt is a long, flat boat. It is pushed along the river with a long pole. You will sit in the boat and enjoy the beautiful views while someone steers. If you like, you can even try punting yourself!
You will travel slowly along the River Cherwell, willow leaves brushing the water, passing through our beautiful city. Cameras ready: kingfishers sometimes flash past!
The journey to Magdalen Bridge takes less than half an hour by bus, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the atmosphere of the city and the river before boarding. After an hour on the water you’ll feel relaxed, inspired and have some great photos for your Instagram page. Whether you’re chasing great photos, new friends or simply a very English memory, this trip promises a day you’ll talk about long after the course ends. See you on the river!
