These are viewed in PowerTeacher when parents/students view specific assignments.
Enter comments as you enter scores in an assignment.
Click on a cell in the Score column. The Score Inspector window will open. Click in the comment box in the top right and type the comment.
Enter comments while viewing all assignment scores for the class, using Grading ⇒ Scoresheet
Double click on the space that matches the student and assignment you would like to add comments for. This will bring up the Score Inspector. Enter comments as previously described.
Enter bulk comments. If you have the same comment to enter for multiple students,
Click the assignment name.
Choose Bulk Comment.
Select the students the comment applies to.
Click the Comment tab and enter the comment.
Click the Options tab to determine how new comments interact with existing comments.
Don’t forget to Save Scores.
A comment icon will appear in the Score Column.
Refer to Best Practice for Comments on the Grading and Reporting Site to assist you. Avoid summarizing units/what was taught. Speak to how the student did. Be specific.
These are viewed on the report card under Teacher Comments for the subject.
Click Grading on the left side menu.
Select Scoresheet. Be sure, when working in the scoresheet, you have selected the proper semester (in the top right hand corner).
Locate the GRADE column.
Click on the RIGHT holistic (%) grade for the subject.
Click on the Comment icon up in the right corner. A comment box will open. Type your comment in. Refer to outcome breakdown and best practice of comment writing to assist you. You will have 2000 characters.
You can switch to the next student by clicking on the GRADE box or by using the up/down arrows beside their name in the Score Inspector..
Click Save Scores (bottom right). A comment icon will now appear in the Grade Column.
