Purpose of a Report Card
Purpose of a Report Card
CESD report cards are intended to be a snapshot of learning at a certain moment of time... "rather than offering a cumulative, final evaluation, the report cards should be seen as part of a continuous and ongoing reporting process..." to parents / guardians (On Your Mark, Guskey, 2015). The areas communicated in a report card are:
Achievement of learner outcomes
Learner Attributes (behaviour, work habits, social skills)
Areas of strength, area for improvement and future goals
Ways for parents to help and support students in areas need improvement
