Game Titles

Currently, WI scholar gamers compete in 6 different titles. Five of the six titles are playing on computers. Since most schools have computers/labs that can run the titles, we thought it would be most equitable to focus on a platform that is the most inclusive.

For the 2022-2023 season the fall titles are SMITE and Smash Bros Ultimate. For our first ever "Winter season" Fortnite and Rocket League will be the titles. For spring season we have League of Legends and Valorant.

These titles have been chosen for several reasons. First, in order to play the games we wanted to make sure to choose the games that would be easiest to pass by school boards as appropriate. All of the games are either E for everyone or T for teens. These ratings are based on the ESRB (Entertainment Software Ratings Board).

Secondly, these six titles offer consistent and bountiful opportunities in the collegiate scholarship and competitive realms. We may look to some off season tournaments with games such as Madden, NBA2K, etc. that have also been time tested and considered "non-fad" games.
