Academic Honesty
Our fundamental assumption is that Centre College students will act with honor in all of their academic endeavors. At the same time, during times of heightened stress and nonstandard assessment environments, we recognize that some students might be more likely to make mistakes and/or poor decisions with regards to academic honor.
Attendance
You will complete all assigned work each week by Thursday at midnight. You will have synchronous (live) meetings with your partners and with your professor every Friday. You need to be present and ready to work during those meetings.
If you miss meetings or do not turn in assignments then I will follow this new process:
1) I will email you.
2) Contact Dean Mary Gulley if you do not respond within 24 hours.
3) Dean Gulley will call you and communicate the outcome to me, or the student will communicate immediately with the professor, copying Dean Gulley to confirm.
Accommodations
The transition to on-line instruction may alter the type of academic accommodations needed for the remainder of this term. Although classroom accommodations approved at the beginning of this term remain in effect, the changed course format may alter your needs for this course. Each student who has approved accommodations through Dean Gulley's office should please send an email to me as soon as possible so that we may determine how approved academic accommodation(s) can be put in place for this course.
Data Privacy
In order to make sure that this classes complies with FERPA and other privacy regulations, please be sure you sign into Zoom through Centre. Do not use a free or guest account to meet with me or with your partners in our class.
Intellectual Property and Recording
Online classes and materials are the faculty’s intellectual property, similar to in-person classes, consistent with the College’s policy on intellectual property.
Recording and Sharing Classroom Proceedings
During the remainder of this term, you may use recorded classroom discussions to post on your websites for you and your classmates to review. As always, no student is permitted to share via email, social media, or other methods, any classroom lecture or discussion, in part or in its entirety, without the express written consent of the faculty member responsible for the course. Unauthorized dissemination of classroom proceedings, lectures, and other materials is strictly prohibited and may be cause for investigation and judicial action.
