Cuba contemporanea

José Martí, a Cuban journalist and diplomat, was one of the most famous and prominent thinkers of Latin America. He was the intellectual architect of the Cuban independence movement. This week in class we will talk about two ways contemporary Cubans remember Martí, through music and images.
