I have advocated for SEL ( Social-Emotional Learning) and have been a proud registered behavioral therapist for social-emotional learning for over seven years. Aside from my love of working with young children, I am a wife, mother, gardener, and fur mama to 3 adorable pups! I can't wait to work with you and your children this school year!

Hello!  My name is Allyson and I am BEYOND stoked to be working with YVC and MRA students this year!  I am an experienced educator, SEL advocate, and lover of the arts, dedicated to fostering creativity, emotional growth, and artistic excellence. I hold a Master of Arts in Teaching Artistry from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Colorado Christian University.

I have developed and taught curriculum in dance, theater, arts integration, and social-emotional learning, and am certified in Autism Movement Therapy and Social Emotional Arts from The Arts and Healing Initiative, as well as Yoga and Pilates. I integrate SEL principles into my instruction and have presented at workshops and conferences, sharing strategies for creative engagement and whole-student learning.

My recent passion project, Mannie the Dancing Mammoth, is a children’s book that intertwines social-emotional learning and dance to help young readers embrace their feelings, find joy through movement, and dream big.

I live in Mammoth Lakes, CA, where I’m married and raising three amazing kids—Emily (23), Christian (18), and Caleb (15). In my free time, I love exploring nature, hiking, and spending time with my friends and family.
