New Student Registration

Before scheduling an appointment, you must pre-register your child. You can do so by clicking here or by visiting www.centralreg.k12.nj.us and following the quick links to the New Student Registration page.
To register a student, you will need the following documents:
Three (3) Proofs of Residency
A mortgage statement or lease in your name; and
Two (2) of the following: Electric bill, Gas bill, Telephone bill, Cable bill
We cannot accept a driver's license, bank statements, credit card statements, insurance cards, or medical insurance bills.
Residing With Relatives / Friends
If you are planning on living with relatives or friends, you need to establish domicile in their residence.
If your relatives/friends are renting the residence, you must be either cited on the lease or have an affidavit of residency filled out and notarized by both you and the landlord.
If you relatives/friends own the residence, you must be cited on one of the utilities and have an affidavit of residency filled out and notarized by both you and the owner of the residence. They must also supply a mortgage statement (proof that they own the property).
Transfer Card from Previous School - The student must be officially withdrawn from their former school.
Health Records - State law mandates that you must have health records if transferring within the state. Out of state students have one month to comply with this law.
Birth Certificate
Other Documents (your child's former school will provide these for you) - These documents are necessary in order to properly place your child and to provide appropriate services.
Last report card;
Transcript (10th, 11th, 12th grade);
Standardized testing scores; and
IEP if applicable.
Divorced or Separated Parents - You must provide proof that you are the custodial parent. We will need a copy of the divorce decree indicating that you have residential/joint custody at the time of registration.
Domestic Partners - If there is no legal documentation indicating custodial rights, you must bring a notarized letter from the child's mother/father stating that they are aware and agree that the child will be enrolled in Central Regional School District.
In order to ensure that a guidance counselor will be available to meet with you, please call and make an appointment to register. Generally, registrations take about an hour of your time. If any of the above documents are not available, you may be delayed or have to reschedule.
