Stetson Roling “Untitled”
12x18, Graphite on paper, 2018
For this drawing, I went for realism while trying to draw a custom-made castle. The symbolism here is that the castle stands strong no matter what, keeps its foundation, and has the gates open to anyone. If I were to start over then I think I would probably keep the castle about the same add or subtract some parts of it then add background around it like a forest or something to give it more detail. I really like the shading on the castle I think it turned out really nice.
The style of my drawing is a print. There really is no symbolism in the prints because with the fruit I couldn’t really think about anything else so I just came up with something. I would probably do a print of something more meaning if I started over. I love the way the tree ring turned out and how nice it looks
