Plaster Masks
Joshua Crowley “Samurai”
12.5in x 6in x 1.5in Plaster, Acrylic Paint, 2018
I got inspiration for my mask from the Nobushi mask in the game For Honor. I want people to know that I used a mold for one of those fish on the wall things to make it. I would make it look more wooden, like samurai attire usually was. I love how the designs remind me of samurais.
Batik Oil Pastel and Watercolor Resist
Joshua Crowley “Waterfall”
12X18,” Oil Pastel, Watercolor Paint, Hot Glue on Paper, 2018
I got inspiration for “Waterfall” from pictures of waterfalls. I would like you to think of this waterfall as a calm, peaceful place. If I started over, I would change it from a waterfall to the mountain from Uncharted 4. I love how it all works together to express calmness.
Ceramics
Joshua Crowley “Monster”
7 1/2inx4inx1/2in” Earthenware Clay and Glass, 2017
I just drew random shapes for the body until I found one I like, and same with eyes and mouth. I used a paperclip to cut out the shape of things and dig a hole for the pupils. I used Lava for the eyes. I would make the face a donut because it would be creative. I love how the colors turned out.
Perspective Drawing
Joshua Crowley “Abandoned Castle”
12X18,” Graphite on Paper, 2017
I like the medieval theme so I decided to make a castle but later decided it should be damaged and unusable. I want people to think of a medieval warzone when they see this. Make some bricks missing and maybe some some more destruction. I like how it looks like there was a chaotic battle but it also looks calm and forgotten about.
Weaving "Green and Black" by Joshua Crowley
6"x2" thread
I like it because it has my favorite colors.
I would make it a checkerboard pattern because it looks cool
