Drawing 2

Emma Brown “Alpha”

18in x 24in, Chalk pencils, Square pastels, Black marker, Sharpie, 2019

The style of art that I used in my drawing is realism because I created a detailed drawing of a wolf with beady red eyes. The symbolism in my drawing is the huge blood moon and the dead tree. If I were to change this drawing, I believe I would make the wolf more realistic looking. However, one of the things I love the most of my drawing is the dominant feeling the wolf gives, letting you know they’re in charge.

Emma Brown “Goodnight”

11in x 14in, Pencil, Black ball-point pen, yellow marker, 2019

The style of art that I used for my landscape drawing is realism. You can tell because it is a drawing of a landscape and nothing that doesn’t look unnatural from our world. The symbolism is the yellow crescent moon and the trees. If I were to start over and change anything, it would be coming up with a more detailed picture. What I love most about my picture is the crescent moon because it stands out with the yellow and the swirls.

Emma Brown “Collage and Triskelion”

18in x 24in and 9in x 12in, Printmaking ink, 2019

The style of both of my art works I used in my prints are abstract. You can tell because they both are flat images. The symbolism in both my art works are triskelion and the tree branch the eagle is sitting on. If I were to start over again, I wouldn’t let the ink sit for so long that the image doesn’t show up. I would also try putting in more animals in my collage. I love the fact the eagle stands out really well. I also love that even though there is lots of ink, you still can see the triskelion on the paper.

Emma Brown “Transformation”

18in x 24in, Color Pencil, Oil-Pastel, 2019

My drawing is being finished. The style I was going for was realism, you can tell I was because the drawing is layered and not flat. It also is a drawing of a being. If you are looking for the symbolism, you would be looking at the mirror in that is being held in the hand. If I were to start over, I would change the way the hair looks. the one thing I love about my drawing so far is the eyes.
