Painting II

Ben Milota “The Sleeping Kitty”

12x18, Acrylic, 2019

This painting fits the narrative theme because my cat loves to sleep. Some symbolism in the painting is my cat is very lazy, and being lazy is ok sometimes. Something I would change if I had to start over is making something in the back ground or maybe a different color. Something I love about my painting is the detail with the coloring and the hair.

Ben Milota "The Contaminated Ocean"

12x18, Acrylic, 2019

This painting fits the social issue theme because this is what parts of our ocean look like, and I painted it to hopefully make people stop littering after seeing it. Some symbolism is that people need to stop littering and that everyone in the world should do something to try and fix the ongoing problem. If I had to change something if I started over I would just put more trash in the water to more accurately describe what it is actually like.

Ben Milota "Two Green Peaks"

12x18, Acrylic, 2019

This painting fits the life lesson theme because it is a relaxing painting and its always good to relax every once and a while. Some symbolism is that the mountains are relaxing and that it makes people happy. If I had to start over I would remake the boat and shade more of the mountains. Something I love about my painting is the clouds and the sky.
