Ben Milota “Rocky River”
12x18, Acrylic, 2017
This is a realism painting. This landscape was just meant to be a cool scenery not any specific bridge or body of water. If I had to start over I would make more of the bank look less straight. I love the clouds and the rocky bank towards the bottom of the painting.
Ben MIlota "Green Mountains"
12x18, Acrylic, 2017
I got the idea to do this painting from looking at other paintings of the night sky and wanted it to make It unique by adding green mountains. The theme I was going for was a outdoors environment. If I could change one thing about my painting I would put less stars and make them different sizes to show how far or close they are away. My favorite part of my painting is the moon and the shadows it cast on the mountain.
Ben Milota "Colors of the World "
12x18, Acrylic, 2017
I got the idea to do this painting from the famous painting we looked at in class called “Composition” (with Red, Blue, and Yellow) By Piet Mondrian. I didn’t really have any special meanings with this painting I just like the way it looks. If I could change one thing about this painting is I would position the colors differently to make some colors pop out more. One thing I love about this painting is how the shapes aren’t really shapes the are very abnormal and sporadically placed.
