Ben Milota “The Great Blue Ocean”
12 x 18, Colored Pencil, 2018
The Style of my project is Realism. The mood I’m trying to convey in this project is that there are beautiful places out there you just have to find them. If I were able to start over I would make the mountains on the original paper because I messed up the sky so we cut it off and I used the back of that piece. Something I love about this work is how the ocean looks
Ben Milota “Blue Sky Mountains”
9 x 12, Oil Pastel, Colored Pencils, and Graphite on Paper, 2018
The style of my Drawing is realism. Some symbolism I’m going for in this creation is the representation of how life would be simpler off the beaten path where some of this world is undiscovered and there isn’t buildings and roads surrounding you. If I could change anything about this drawing I would make the mountains and the cabin smaller. One thing I love about this drawing is the sky made of oil pastels I feel like I did a good job blending the oil colors together.
Ben Milota "Purple Lady With a Rose"
9 x 12, Print Making, 2018
The style of my printmaking is surreal. What i'm try to represent in this work is a lady with her hands tied together above her head, and a rose over her shoulder. If I had to start over on the printmaking process I would make the template engraving more precise so the outcome would come out more even. What I like the most about this print is how the rose turned out, I think it is the best part of the print.
Ben Milota “Shapes and Colors”
9 x 12, Studio Marker, 2018
The style of my project is abstract. What I’m trying to represent in this work is to be creative with what you’re doing. If I had to start over I would make the shapes thicker so they would be easier to make straight and color. What I like about this project is the few shapes with even coloring on it looks good
