Reading is an exciting experience that can be shared with others or done independently. Encouraging your child to read just 15-20 minutes every day and talking about what he/she reads will help to increase his/her reading abilities.

Please return your books on time! Thank you!
Schedule
Our schedule is different this year. We are on a 6 day rotation, so if you are unsure of which day that week your child has library, please check with your teacher.
If you would like to know the reading level of books that you have at home and get from the public library check out the link below to see if it has an AR quiz.
One of our ongoing programs is the Young Hoosier (YH) Book Awards. Throughout the year, students read the Young Hoosier Nominees with Mrs. Swiderek during their library time. Each Spring, students have an opportunity to vote for their favorites in a bracket style competition until we find the school's favorite book of the year.
Last year's Young Hoosier state winners!
Our school's pick was "Pick Me"!
Each month, teachers nominate one student from their class to be the Reader of the Month! These students might be excelling in reading or showing great improvement in their reading. They receive a certificate and a free book from the libary and their picture is posted to the library's bulletin board.
UPDATED INFORMATION WILL BE POSTED IN JANUARY 2026!
Students at both CAE and Rose Hamilton will have the opportunity to earn 2 FREE tickets to a Ball State game in the Spring. By completing their reading for school, they are already half way done. Students must fill out a "project" worksheet for at least one book as proof of completion and turn it in to their teacher. If they do this, they will automatically earn the tickets!
Book Report "projects" must be turned in by February 13!
Click on the PDF that your child needs and print from home OR students can pick up copies from their school's library!
