Testing and Identification

Starting in August through the middle of September, the GATE identification process will begin in the district with the administration of the Ravens 2 assessment.  This process is for students who are NOT currently identified as GATE. The steps for the identification process are below with a button at the bottom to sign up for testing.

4th grade - students at all elementary sites will be administered the Ravens 2 in their class unless a parent/guardian returns an opt out form to their site before testing begins. If the student scores in the designated range on the test, the parent will be notified and required to complete the online Request for GATE Identification/Testing form in order for the identification process to be completed.

5th - 7th grade - Parent/Guardian must request testing by completing the online Request for GATE Identification/Testing form located at the link below. Completion of this form will reserve your student a seat for testing. Testing will take place at each school site on specific dates. Dates are/will be available on the calendar. Forms must be completed at least 3 days before testing to be included in the testing.

All grades - Once the test scores are received and the required parent forms are submitted, the identification process will be completed by district GATE staff. Parents will be notified of the outcome via email by the end of April.
