In the Serra de la Safor, right on the border between the province of Valencia and Alicante, there is one of those routes that amaze for, in general, its landscapes and landscapes -in addition to the views offered by some of its points-, being one of the most beautiful to do in the region of Safor, province of Valencia. We are talking about the route that leads to the Cim de la Safor, a route in which you can also visit the Circ de la Safor Viewpoint, the Nevera de la Safor or Finestra de la Safor.

The Cirque de la Safor –one of the sublime spots in the entire Valencian mountain– constitutes an energetic slope with a singular morphology, a watchtower over the coastal plain and the river Serpis that fertilizes it, a source of natural resources (water, pastures, firewood, coal, etc.), a steep hillside colonized and lived, and the symbolic image of a Mediterranean environment. The circus takes place on the northern slope of the Serra de la Safor (1,013 m., about 15 km from the coast), with a drop of more than 800 m in the form of a circular amphitheater. The network of secondary ravines (Milking, Quarries, Wells, etc.), which drain the abrupt horseshoe, converges in the Safor's Ravine which, shortly after, joins the River Serpis in the Arcada Strait.

• The "Blat Picat", a kind of pot of meat and vegetables, where instead of the typical rice is put large grains of wheat. This dish, very old, has traditionally been considered the typical dish of Villalonga, since although it is also made in other places in the Valencian Community, in the nearby villages it is only cooked in Villalonga.
• The "Coca Escaldades", unlike the rest of the nearby villages, which make them from cornmeal, here they make them from wheat flour. There are two variants, those that are served open with a sardine or nothing, and the cakes, which are stuffed with wild herbs.
• "Good pasta coca", also made from wheat flour, but with yeast, and topped with fried tomatoes or onions.

Refrigerators, cellars, ice wells, snow wells or ice wells. Between the 18th and 19th centuries, the construction of stone refrigerators for the ice trade became widespread, they were constructions intended to store the snow collected during the winter. Simple in architecture, they consist of a circular well of varying depths and a roof. After the snowfall, the men accumulated the snow inside, pressed it with boards to form ice (thus reducing the volume occupied and keeping the snow longer), separated it with layers of straw and during the night it was chopped and it transported with horses or donkeys to the towns and the cities.

Villalonga's Laundry
Villalonga's Laundry
It was built in 1944 and paid for by Papeleras Reunidas, S.A. It is an eminently functional rectangular space of a popular nature designed to meet the needs of laundry and social relations as a meeting point and exchange of information on aspects related to people and events that have occurred in the municipality. Similar in typology to the rest of these constructions with two water channels separated by a central corridor with two stone basins on each side. The floor of the central corridor is paved with baked mud bricks. The water comes from the "Font de Setze Xorros" and has a structure for evacuating the water. It has been recently rehabilitated and typical Valencian ornamental ceramic elements (trencadía) have been incorporated. It remains open and available to citizens who are currently using it.
