The Bulgarian seaside is best known for its long sandy beaches, clear water and is a place of great wildlife variety – there are hundreds of rare bird species due to the fact that Via Pontica (one of the main bird migration routes) passes through the Bulgarian coast. Numerous wildlife conservation parks with riverside forests and beautiful landscapes located along the coast preserve many rare and protected plant and animal species.

Old Dobrich Architectural-Ethnographic Museum is an open-air museum where the traditional crafts of the Dobrudzha Region since the end of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century are preserved, exhibited and developed. It is located in the centre of modern-day Dobrich, taking the place of what was formerly known as Odun Market. Skilled craftsmen descending from families with traditions in craftsmanship continue the centuries-long tradition of their crafts at the reconstructed old town market.

Bulgaria's three main ancestral cultures - Thracian, Slavic and Proto-Bulgarian - left behind only fragmentary evidence of their individual mythologies. These mythologies combined with each other developed and transformed the body of folk customs, beliefs, artistic forms and traditional narratives that have existed right up until the modern era and which are now collectively known as Bulgarian Folklore.
