Pre-Conrad Challenge Preparation Camp

The Conrad Challenge is a purpose-driven innovation competition creating the next generation of entrepreneurs who will change the world!
The Conrad Challenge (https://www.conradchallenge.org) is a global competition with a goal to groom the next generation of entrepreneurs that are also responsible global citizens. The Conrad Challenge is sponsored by NASA and MIT since 2005, high school students from around the world will compete in this annual competition.

Teams will select “real life” project to enter the competition, and many teams do eventually can witness their projects being implemented in the real world (https://spacecenter.org/conrad-challenge-to-the- moon/). Like 2024, CDNIS will be forming 2 teams of 4-6 students per team to participate in the 2025-26 competition. As a first step, the school is introducing a course this summer.
After the successful launch of this initiative in 2024-2025 – Both CDNIS team A and team B have successfully made it to the FINALS of the Conrad Challenge with excellent results. As such, the school will continue to support the initiative this year.
The introduction to Conrad Challenge Prep Camp, spanning 12.5 hours, is a focused and dynamic course tailored for students in grades 7-12, preparing them specifically for the Conrad Spirit of Innovation Challenge. CDNIS’s team members will be selected from the participants of this summer course. This Pre Conrad Challenge Innovative Experience Camp emphasizes the fundamentals require to developing core competencies in Business planning and Innovative thinking, central to creating a compelling Lean Canvas and how to develop the Innovation Brief. This camp concentrates on nurturing the students' ability to identify and articulate viable business ideas within the scope of the competition. Through a blend of interactive workshops and practical exercises, participants will hone their skills in teamwork, critical analysis, and entrepreneurial strategy. As part of the learning experience, AI skills will be part of the teaching curriculum.
The camp's structure is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience that equips aspiring young innovators with the business tools and confidence needed to excel in the Conrad Challenge Competition 2025-2026.
Both CDNIS Team A and Team B took part in the Conrad Challenge China Chapter Mar. 13, 2025 and Mar. 14, 2025. Team A secured the gold medal in the Health and Nutrition category, outshining all competitors in China, and will advance to compete globally at NASA in the US. Meanwhile, Team B earned the bronze medal and received the award for the most persuasive presentation.

Are you ready for an electrifying journey through the Earth and back? Welcome to Powerful Planet where children investigate alternative power while they construct an Energy Racer. These lessons not only teach the science behind an electric car in motion, but the importance of choosing clean, renewable, alternative energy sources. In the camp, the children experiment with different kinds of energy and attempt to extract forces to get their projects in motion. Children discover a world full of clean, renewable energy and learn how to use these types of energy in their lives. Throughout the design and construction of different inventions, children learn simple ways to conserve resources around the house.
