Let's Play Pickleball

Lets Play Pickleball!
Students will learn how to play the fastest growing sport in the world called Pickleball. This game has many similarities to other racket and paddle sports like tennis, badminton, table tennis, and squash. It makes for an excellent gateway sport, and with so many benefits can stand on it's own as a lifelong activity.
Pickleball is very easy to learn for any age or athletic skill level. So it is also perfect for a short camp with no experience necessary. This sport is incredibly social making for a nice outlet to participate in team play, and have great fun with old and new friends. Through lots of running and hitting, the kids will also have good exercise while improving their eye hand coordination.
*All equipment will be provided. Please bring a water bottle.

Taekwondo

Our Summer Camp is a great opportunity for students to learn Basic Korean, Self-Defense & Respect from Korea Taekwondo Cheung Do Kwan, Hong Kong's Top Taekwondo School and a member of Hong Kong Taekwondo Association.
Students who will do the camp will experience an intensive yet fun course having a chance to break a wooden board and can receive a Taekwondo certification by the end of each camp.

Known as the 'Gentle Art,' Jiu Jitsu offers a good opportunity to introduce your child to self defense. Unlike other martial arts, Jiu Jitsu doesn't involve striking techniques like punches or kicks.
Aimed at children aged 6-13 years old (Grade 3-8), our Jiu Jitsu Grappling programme helps children develop valuable skills such as discipline, confidence and improved fitness. Our experienced instructors prioritize safety while ensuring that each lesson is both enjoyable and interactive. In our classes, children will learn basic grappling techniques, body movements, understanding of positions and physical responses, as well as how to escape and defend themselves in different situations.

This year’s CDNIS Kung Fu Summer programme draws on our 20+ years of teaching experience with young students to provide a series of classes like no other!
As well as the physical practice traditional Chinese Martial Arts (kicks, punches, defences and strikes), this special set of summer sessions strive to develop the mental (mind) as well at the physical (body).
Each 2 hour session will involve the following;
Warm ups (cardiovascular, breathing, core strength, coordination)
Self Defence techniques (following instruction, team work, fine/gross motor skills)
Kung Fu Games (competition, social & leadership skills)
Philosophy Discussions (knowing yourself, public speaking, confidence building)
Meditations (focus, breathing, inward attention, present moment, stillness & emotional awareness)
Our aim; to build confidence and resilience from the inside out. Getting to know yourself, your thoughts, your emotions and feelings, and being at ease with them, gives us greater self-awareness. Boy’s and Girl’s Recreational Gymnastics Camp
This camp is for children new to gymnastics. There will be a lot of fun gymnastics orientated games and exercises to allow them to develop their motor skills. They will also learn basic gymnastics movements on different apparatus.
Boys & Girls Gymnastics Camp Level 1 & 2 (Prep+)
This camp is aimed at children who already participate in gymnastics and wish to develop their skills further on the different apparatus.
Boys & Girls Gymnastics Camp Level 3 - 6 (Grade 2+)
This camp is for students who are at an intermediate or advanced level of gymnastics and currently already practice in a class of this level. The students should be mentally and physically prepared for the level of training. More advanced skills and routines will be practiced on all apparatus while making sure the children have lots of fun.
*Children participating in this activity must be toilet trained. If a child registers who is not toilet trained, he or she will be asked to leave the course and no refund or credit will be provided.

DEVELOPMENT SQUAD: RED BALL CAMP (EY2-Grade 3)
Red ball classes teaches players fundamental hand-eye coordination, develops sending and receiving skills, movement and tennis technique foundations. Introducing players as quickly as possible into rallies, the rules of the game and into point play. This programme is a fun multifaceted baseline to a child's development within the game.
RISING STAR: ORANGE BALL CAMP (Grade 4-5)
ATA’s orange ball programme is played on a 3⁄4 sized court using orange low compression balls. It is suitable for both younger experienced players progressing on from red ball that are of level, or slightly older players with technical competency and semi-confident rallying skills. Throughout the camp week game fundamentals are built on and more advanced techniques are established with tactical skills and sportsmanship taught in point play ahead of a fun tournament day at the end of the week.
Students will receive an ATA camp shirt, along with a camp gift and digital certificate. Competition medals will be given out to winners of the end of week tournament challenge day.
