Spanish Summer Camp

¡Hola amigos! Welcome to our Spanish Summer Camp for kids y teens!
The Spanish Academy Spanish Summer Camp offers an exciting and immersive experience for all students from prep to grade 6 and above. Participants will learn and embrace the Spanish language and culture in a fun and interactive environment.
Designed to cater to different age groups at beginner levels, our programme focuses on interactive activities, games, arts and crafts, music, and cultural exploration to engage young learners in meaningful language acquisition.
Under the guidance of experienced and passionate Spanish instructors, participants will embark on a journey filled with language adventures, where they'll develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills while assimilating a new popular language spoken natively by nearly 500 million people worldwide.
Our teachers will make sure that each child receives personalised attention and support to enhance their language abilities and confidence in Spanish.
Let them join for a summer filled with learning, laughter, and cultural enrichment as they explore the richness of the Spanish language!

Interactive Mandarin Summer Camp
Provider: Mandarin Channel School
The Mandarin Camp is for English speakers and is based on comprehensive topic-based Mandarin learning with multiple interactive activities, movie/drama playing, and Chinese culture-related activities to ensure that students will gain more experience in a spoken Mandarin environment while improving reading and writing skills.
Class rundown:
45 mins: Conversational Practice (speaking and listening)
5 mins: Break time
25 mins: Reading and writing with a wide range of Chinese characters' games
5 mins: Snack time
40 mins: Topic-based activities (topics may include numbers (times and dates), self-introduction, colours, transportation, food, hobbiles, animals etc.
Three levels of classes: Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced

Ivycamp: Becoming a Leader

In this camp, students will learn the basics of leadership and what it means to show up as a leader in different settings. Students will plan and execute a camp-wide event, such as a talent show, learning about leadership skills such as communication, organization, and event planning.

Ivycamp: Harry Potter - Beyond the Books

Using the Harry Potter world as the framework and guide, students will explore science concepts behind some of the fantastical elements in the series and write their own fictional story that includes a cohesive magical world. Students will design their own creative world and story that incorporates art, science, and writing principles explored during the course, inspired by Harry Potter.

Frostbound: A Writing Adventure

Are you ready to set out on a perilous journey to explore the outskirts of Winterglade and beyond? We must uncover the truth and put a stop to this impending eternal winter before it’s too late!
This creative writing program for ages 8-11 will take students through snowdrifts and icy landscapes, where they will encounter new characters, solve puzzles, and use their description and analytical skills in order to survive. The fate of Winterglade and all of Luden hang in the balance, and it's up to you to save the day!

Entrepreneurs Program: Build Your Own Business Idea!

Have you ever wanted to build your own business? In our Entrepreneurs Program, you’ll experience what it’s like to be an entrepreneur as you play your way towards developing your very own business idea and plan!
You’ll be introduced to the entrepreneurial experience through the card game Proto; learn about design thinking and business strategy through fun activities, games, case studies and mini research projects.
Before you know it, you’ll be using these tools to discover your target users, designing your own solutions, creating your own prototypes and even developing your very own elevator pitch for our Dragon’s Den at the end of the program!

In the Deep: A Storytelling Adventure

Journey into the depths of Merlitas and meet mermaid royalty in their courtroom. Swim with creatures of the sea and forge a lasting bond with new friends as you embark on a quest to save his kingdom and the life of the ocean. Tackle language tasks and create your own rhymes as you listen to the song of the sea.
You will interact with legendary sea creatures and negotiate your way out of sticky situations. In the process, learn about saving the sea through sustainable methods and leave your ripple in the ocean by talking to characters about ocean conservation. You will need all the help you can get so make friends as you go!

The Eye of the Pyramid: A Writing Adventure

This program is designed to develop English creative writing skills with a focus on basic vocabulary relating to the environment and encounters faced along the way. Word games and puzzles will be sprinkled throughout as well as many opportunities to practise their spoken English!

This program is designed to develop AI image generation skills on MidJourney with a focus on descriptive and creative writing skills, elements of art and strategic thinking. Students will be tasked with describing the items they generate, writing about how they overcome peculiar scenarios, as well as generate an AI image from their story.

A Character of Your Own: A Creative Writing Masterclass
