Drawing 2

Taylor Veach “Bridge”

12x18, pencil, 2020

For my black and white drawing I combined two different pictures to get the thing I wanted. I first started with the light post and the bridge. Because that looks like it is the closest thing to the person viewing the artwork I thought that I first had to get that established. For this artwork I used a lot of different shades of pencil and a lot of shading. I like this artwork because it looks like it is in a foreign country and I love that look. For me the most difficult part was to get the windows on the building as similar as possible and all lined up perfectly to give it the most realistic look possible. I would say this artwork is realistic because there is a lot of detail.

11x8, watercolor pencil, 2020

For this drawing I saw an idea on pintrest and I added to it. I first started with the biggest tree and I am not a fan on how it turned out. I tried to make it as realistic as possible but I was limited on colors so it was hard to try to shade and such. I really like to draw landscapes so this artwork has no personal meaning. I just like to draw that type. This is a realistic drawing and you know this because it has shading on the water from the trees on the ground and that is just one example.

18x24, magazine collage

For this collage I got the picture from pinterest and I just didn’t use the background. I first did the shoes because I wanted to do one of the easier things first so I could get used and get good at placing together different pieces. This collage took a lot of patience and time. It was challenging for me to try to make it as realistic as possible but also with the cartoon effect with it. For me it was hard to get the skin to all look the same because I was running out of the colors of brown that I used so it was challenging to try and find the closest shade to the colors as possible. It was also challenging to make the jersey look real and to shade it right, but it is probably my favorite part of this collage. I have never done something like this before but I really liked how it turned out.
