Savanah Meyne “Wow, I Probably Should’ve Stayed Inside My House”
12”x18”, Pencil & Marker, 2019
The style of this drawing is surreal. I came up with this idea from the lyric, “three lights are lit, but the fourth one’s out” meaning that there’s something that’s just a little bit off. If I could change one thing I would change where I placed the colors and what colors I used. What I really like about this piece is how the “goo” turned out.
Savanah Meyne “bird”
9”x12”, Colored Pencil and Chalk on Paper, 2019
The style of my drawing is realism. I wanted to draw this for my mom because she really likes hummingbirds and the ruby throated ones are the kind that we see in Iowa. The flowers are purple because that's her favorite color. If I could start over, one thing I would change is maybe the type of flower I drew, or make the hummingbird larger. One thing I love about my drawing are the flowers and how they look 3D.

12"x9", colored pencil and chalk on paper, 2019
The style of my drawing is realism. I wanted to draw something nice for my dad and this was his old dog and truck. If I could start over I would try drawing the right side of the truck better, I messed up on it and it looks lopsided. One thing I really like about this drawing is the sky in the back and how it's blended. I also like the left side of the truck and how it is straight.
