My idea for this was to draw a deck of Uno cards and then a hand of cards with the reverse card colored and everything else black and white. But it changed when I started drawing. I got the idea because the combo project was the perfect one to do for my little brother. I wanted to do a drawing for him and he does the uno reverse meme all the time so I thought that this would be perfect. My process was simple. I kept on bringing in uno cards for reference. I started by drawing the card shapes and then went on to drawing the details then started coloring. The most difficult part would be coloring it because there were a lot of little parts to color. If I could re-do this I was first color in the 8 and +4 that I forgot to color in and the I would expand it more and fill up the whole page instead of most of it. I really liked how it turned out.
My first idea was to draw Winnie the Pooh sitting by a tree with butterflies but then I found out I couldn't do that because he is a licensed character. So I cut out the Winnie the Pooh from my sketch and decided to make him a puppet on a stage. My process was that I first sketched out my orginal idea and then I put maker paper on it and traced it. Then colored it. Then that didn't work out. So instead of ruining the drawing I just finished, I used my sketch and cut out Winnie the Pooh and glued him to a paper and drew my stage. Then I colored it. I wanted it to give the vibes of something fake. That's why there isn't real bushes. It's all fake. The happiness and everything. The face in the back I wanted to leave some mysteries, something for you to figure out on your own. This artwork means to me, to live your life out of happiness and not have fake happiness. The most diffcult part was coloring. I realized I hate coloring with colored pencils. It takes forever and hurts my hand. If I could start over I would want to take more time and not rush it.
