Ceramics, 11th grade
When I started this project, I thought of little flowers on it throughout the whole vase. But that soon changed when I started making the flowers. I couldn't figured out a way to make it look like a flower, without it being too heavy. So I made something like how the clovers are on my vase. They didn't look like flowers to me. They looked like clovers. So that's what I changed my design too. When I started my vase, I wasn't expecting it to be lumpy and bumpy like how it turned out. It was hard for me to control the coils and make the vase even. Something I would change about this project is the glazing. I don't like how it turned out and it wasn't what I had in mind. I don't like how the green bled through and made yellowish spots around the clovers. I liked it a lot more before it was fired the second time. When the colors are all pastel. It seemed a lot more calmer and happy.
