Ceramics

The bowls took a whole class period to shape. The process was very weird and took a long time. First, I flattened out my clay by slamming it on the desk a lot. Then used the wheel flattener to make my clay cuttable. I then cut my clay to form the bowls. After that, I shaped it using a pattern creator to make it have texture. I then formed the bowls up using a circular foam piece. After that, the clay went into the kiln. I then glazed my bowls and put them into the kiln. Overall, it took like 4 class periods.

This vase took pretty long to do. Almost 4 class periods. This process started out as slamming my clay on the table to flatten it. I then added texture with the texture mats. Then I cut the clay to form the vase. After that I wrapped the clay into the vase shape. I then added a bottom to the vase. after that it was ready for the kiln. after it was done in the kiln i glazed it.

This was my first clay project. It took 2 class periods. I started by flattening the clay. I then cut the clay into a circle. I made sure it had some volume as well. I cut the frown and eyes out. After that, I put on the yellow coat. Then I added the paint to the black frown and eyes. Overall, this project was not super complicated. It was also my first project, so it does not look super good.
