The vision of the painting was supposed to be kind of blurry. When driving around at night usually it can get blurry and hard to see with lights surrounding you. I wanted to represent it in a painting. I started it off by slightly sketching the shapes so I don't fully have to overlap a bunch of paint. I started with the main pieces and then started working on tiny details. More and more, I would look at it, and I would find more stuff to add onto. It's not supposed to be perfect, so I would have some lights not in order and smudged. I usually use my fingers for a lot of the painting to blend it or smear it. Using your hands can help you a lot, and you have full control of it all. Not all people see like this at night, so I'm trying to show and relate to others. People who might have problems with their vision may see like this as well. My first intention was to just make a painting like this and blur it all the way and make it look like water on a windshield as if it was raining. The more I started to paint, I liked where it was going, then I just changed my mind. The thing I would struggle with the most is getting the colors right and not looking out of place. Having to use a lot of different shades of grey, blues, and black was what made it difficult. It's more of a realistic painting to me and hopefully for others as well.

I started by getting these ideas about wanting to do 3D artwork. Since it was 3d I wanted it to look realistic, so I made it go around the canvas as if it were moving. I started by using cardboard and making a bridge-like curve, and I hot-glued it. Once that was fully glued down, I had to stuff it with paper so it could hold its structure. Then I had to make the head out of clay. Once that was all, I then used glue and paper towels to make a stable statue. I used glue on the background just to add some more layers. I then had everything dried, and I painted it. While looking at it, I want people to see the vision of how it wraps around the painting and is supposed to be camouflage-like. The most difficult part of this painting was the time. Having to wait for the masking over and wait for it to dry took most of the time. There would be times I would take it to a blow dryer and then do another layer. It was also hard to get the right texture, but towards the end, it looked more realistic. Going for more of a realistic type of painting, I like to do a bunch of nature and landscapes. I love how it turned out and will keep doing 3D paintings.
