Gifted and High Achievers Program

Cannon County seeks to challenge its gifted and high-achieving students. Although the most effective way to challenge students is through challenging and engaging instruction daily in the regular classroom, Cannon County also has a Teacher of the Gifted who has been trained in how to meet the unique needs of this population. Services for gifted and high-achieving students are provided opportunities to incorporate activities that require creativity, problem-solving, planning, and perseverance. Students qualify to receive these services based on state and standardized test data and additional assessments if needed.
