All students are expected to enter the classroom each day with an open mind and positive attitude. Class participation is important and required, since there are many ways to participate within the classroom community. A community cannot work together if people are not working together, and discussions cannot take place if people are not willing to chat. All ideas are equal in value and all ideas are welcomed!
Students are to have their cell phones off and in their bags. If the student has their phone out during class, it will be held by the teacher until the period ends. Materials required for the class are the only materials the student should have at his/her desk.
Students are expected to have their assignments completed on the day that they are due. Students may reach out to me at any time with questions or concerns in regards to their assignments. If an assignment is handed in late, students need to meet with me as soon as possible, and they have up to a week to submit the assignment for half credit.
Respect your peers, yourself, teachers, and anyone else that is in the classroom. This includes raising hands, positive comments to one another, positive language when communicating (ex. no swearing), and waiting for your turn to speak.
