All students are expected to enter the classroom each day with an open mind and positive attitude. Class participation is important and required. There are many ways to participate within the classroom community, so there is no excuse to not participate. A community cannot work together if no one is working at all, and discussions cannot take place if no one is willing to talk. All ideas are equal in value and all ideas are welcomed!
Students are to have their cell phones off and in their bags. If the student has their phone out during class, it will be held by the teacher until the period ends. Bags are to be placed at the front of the room before class begins. Materials required for the class are the only materials the student should have at his/her desk.
Students are expected to have their assignments completed on the day that they are due. Students may reach out to me at any time with questions or concerns in regards to their assignments. If an assignment is handed in late, the grade will be lowered a certain amount of points for each day that it is late.
Respect your peers, yourself, teachers, and anyone else that is in the classroom. This includes raising hands, positive comments to one another, positive language when communicating (ex. no swearing), and waiting for your turn to speak.
