Sociology is the scientific study of human groups. This course will cover the structure and functions of groups and the consequences, which result from the activities of various groups. Sociology also looks at individuals and the process by which they fit into society. This course will cover how groups relate to one another, how they change, and what enables one group to survive and prosper while others decline and disappear. Some of our current social problems will also be explored.
