Are you a student with at least one year of experience in band, orchestra, guitar, or private lessons and curious about learning the harp? This class is for you!

Learn the fundamentals of the lever harp in a fast-paced, hands-on learning environment, including:

• Right and left hand technique

• How to set and adjust the levers

• Tuning the harp

• Reading music on the harp

• Easy beginner harp solo and ensemble repertoire

Harp bootcamp also includes the opportunity to play as part of a beginning harp ensemble, helping you develop musicality and collaboration skills with new friends.

Lever harps will be provided for the duration of the class, so you don’t need to worry about bringing your own. Information about harp rental and harp lessons will be provided at the conclusion of the class.

Class size is limited to 12 students for a focused, personalized experience.

GRADES:

Students who will be entering grades 7-12 in the fall. Sorry, we cannot accept younger campers in 2025.

PREREQUISTE SKILLS NEEDED:

At least one year of experience on another instrument (band, orchestra, guitar, or private lessons). Students must be very comfortable reading music on their main instrument.
