Check out all the videos below for funny and cool music stuff! If you have any recommendations for videos to add, tell me in class or go to the "Ask Me A Question" page to talk to me.

1. "Landfill Harmonic" (it says "60 Minutes" on the video title but that's the name of the program - it's actually only about 13 minutes)

This group of kids in Paraguay play instruments made out of garbage; it's extraordinary to see and hear what they are able to do. While this particular feature was filmed many years ago, the "Recycled Orchestra" is still touring and performing today. Just last year, our fifth graders were able to come on a field trip to see this group perform in downtown Richmond.

Pay close attention - there's always something to learn from hard work, focus, and determination.

2. "Rude," written by Magic! and performed by Postmodern Jukebox

This is one of my favorite bands - they take popular songs and put a new spin on them with very talented singers and instrumentalists. Some of their songs are from decades ago and some of them are just from last week, but they are all beautifully performed!

Be sure to check out some more of their songs, but only with your parents' permission! Some of my favorites are "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" and "Evolution of Tap Dance."

3. "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious," from Mary Poppins

Boys and girls, this is one of my favorite movies of all time. I know it's old (it was made in 1964), but it's still one of the most magical movies I've ever seen. The music is beautiful and clever, and the story is fun and touching. If you haven't seen it, go ask your parents to show it to you now!
