Grading System

At the elementary level in music, we use a different kind of grading scale - it is designed to give parents a more accurate idea of how they are assessed from one quarter to the next. Please refer to the chart below to see an explanation of what each grade means.

Also, please remember that your child’s grade reflects a specific piece of his/her Standards of Learning curriculum, and is not an overall measurement of his/her ability in this resource subject.
