1. My family - I adore my parents and my older brother. They are the reason I am who I am. My husband is my best friend and my hero; he's a firefighter and I admire him and his colleagues for what they do every day.

2. Animals - I love all animals (even the creepy crawlies!), but especially my cat and dog, Beau and Arya. They bring so much joy to my life and I am very grateful for them!

3. Reading and writing - I love to read all the time and I especially love recommendations. Right now, I'm trying to read more in Spanish to improve my speaking and comprehension skills.

4. Music - I hope it's obvious how much I love making and listening to music, whether that means singing, playing an instrument, or just sitting back and putting on a record. My love of music took shape when I first heard my favorite band, The Beatles, when I was 6 years old - kids, if you haven't already, check them out!

5. My job - as much as I love music, what I love even more is teaching it. I love what I do and I love my fabulous co-workers. Scorpions know how to make a place fun, friendly, and educational - that is certainly true of the resource teachers at Scott and I am proud to be a part of it.
