Help your student prepare for 2nd Grade. Below is just a preview of what you can find within the summer packet. Set aside some time each day to review 1, 2, or more skills. Print off as you go, or simply the whole packet and complete just a few pages a day.
Do we have to complete the packet? No, this is completely optional. However, the skills you review and practice from this packet will certainly help to keep the material current in your mind and help to prepare you for 2nd grade.
What should we do when we are finished? Great question! You also have access to your backpack APPS. Login to your chromebook and find your backpack. Try reading a MyOn book or play Dreambox.
Do I need to turn in my work? We would always LOVE to SEE your work. Feel free to bring in any and all work that you have completed when you return in the Fall.
What if I need help? Another great question! If there is a page or skill that you are having difficulty with, no worries. The joy of this packet is that most of the pages have an example done for you or an explanation of what to do. However, if after that you are still in need of some help, find a parent and/or close family member to ask.

Practice your handwriting skills with common sight words.
Practice your related facts by matching them.
When in doubt, draw it out! Use a drawing to help you solve.
