This activity can help children explain their feelings using colors.
Children create a color key for their feelings (blue= calm, yellow= happy, green= helpful, etc.)
Use these colors to fill in the blank heart to match how much of that feeling is “in your heart.” (If they feel very sad they would color a large piece of the heart their “sad” color.)
Talk about your “heart” with a family member in your house or through video.
This activity helps children talk about their thoughts or what’s currently on their mind.
Write keywords, sentences, draw symbols or pictures, etc. to show what's on their mind.
Share with a parent/family member and then offer to help figure one or more of them out TOGETHER.
