Aspiration Pathway Update Year 12
On Wednesday, the Outreach Officer from Gonville and Caius (University of Cambridge) spoke to our Aspiration Pathway students about applying to Oxbridge. It was an excellent session where the importance of super-curricular activities was emphasized.
This is the main focus of the Aspiration Pathway: supporting our high-flying Sixth Formers to spend ample time reading, entering competitions, attending lectures and exhibitions, and completing online courses. We also support our pupils in applying for competitive summer schools, work experience placements, and programmes run by top universities.
We are delighted to announce that four of our Year 12s have qualified for the prestigious Christ Church Oxford Horizons programme. This programme aims to support students in exploring beyond the curriculum and developing the key skills required to make competitive applications to top universities.
Students will have the opportunity to engage in discussions with Oxford academics through a series of workshops on topics in the humanities, sciences, and social sciences. Through an interactive format, these workshops encourage reflection, flexibility of thought, scientific reasoning, and critical thinking.
CCF has an excellent track record of sending pupils on this programme—Christ Church's website homepage even features an image with some past familiar faces if you look hard enough! Congratulations to:
