AI-Based Learning Experiences

Generative AI presents opportunities for various activities within the classroom that can enrich learning experiences. It can be used to create customized learning materials tailored to individual student needs, such as worksheets and practice exercises. Additionally, generative AI can inspire creativity in storytelling and writing activities by generating prompts and character profiles. Language practice can be enhanced through AI-powered chatbots that simulate conversations and provide feedback. Virtual simulations generated by AI can immerse students in realistic scenarios, while AI tools can foster artistic expression and experimentation. Personalized learning pathways can be generated based on individual student data, and AI can assist in language translation and content summarization tasks. By incorporating generative AI, classrooms can promote engagement, personalization, and creativity while ensuring ethical considerations and providing appropriate guidance from educators. 

Generative A.I. is fun to play with but it needs to be viewed more as a tool for learning instead of as a way to shortcut learning. 

Math

Visualize geometric shapes as artwork with generative AI - Students will research geometric terminology and identify some familiar shapes, then craft a text-to-image prompt in Adobe Express that imagines those shapes as part of a piece of original art. 

Writing

Visualize a literary character with generative AI - Students use the new text-to-image tool in Adobe Express to create a visualization of a literary character by adapting a prompt from the description(s) of that character in their original source material. 

Science

Create AI Biomes and Habitats -  The goal for this experience is to take the knowledge that they have gained in the area of animals, biomes and habitats. 

Describe and visualize substances with generative AI - Students will research a chemical substance and collate its distinguishing features, then craft a text-to-image prompt in Adobe Express that creates a recognizable depiction of that substance. 

History

Visualize a historical figure with generative AI - Students will use existing source material and artwork to research a historical figure's depictions in media, then craft their own text-to-image prompt in Adobe Express that recreates that person without mentioning them by name. 

CTE

Creating a Business Plan - Use AI Business Generator to develop a business idea. Use what is generated to have students create budgets and models associated with results.

Test a Process - Have a student ask ChatGPT to detail a process that the class uses with a tool or device. Have the student review the shown process to see if all the steps are there.
