Welcome! This is a semester long course that covers the foundational principles of art and design infused with digital tech tools. This course expands on previous course through more in-depth exploration of creating, presenting, and responding to art, while connecting the world of art to other areas of learning and personal endeavors. The course emphasizes the ability to use the elements and principles of design through a variety of media.

🎨Art Supplies of your preference: Colored Pencils, Crayons, Digital Platform, Pens, Pencils, Watercolor, Paper. If you are unable to aquire art supplies for any reason, please come by CVA and grab from my stash of supplies.

Assessments 60% (Finished Final Product)
Assignments 40% (Rough Draft/Sketch)
Theme/Topic: The ability to represent an idea which corresponds to the given theme or topic
Authenticity: The ability to render an idea or image
Visual Elements and Principles: Thought out use of visual elements (line, shape, form, space, color, texture, etc) while using the principles of art (rhythm, balance, movement, unity, pattern, etc) to organize the elements.
Technique: The use or mastery of the materials and techiques used.
Interpretation: The ability to express one's ideas and communicate emotions through artform.
Critical Process: The ability to perceive, talk, or write about ideas, visual elements, techniques, etc. in one's own work, and those by a peer, as well as artists.
Plagiarism: Students will submit their own artwork. They will not copy imags from the internet to sumbit as their own. This will result in a zero for the assignment.
