Course Expectations, Procedures and Grading Policy

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Introduction to Government and Public Administration: This is the foundational course for the Public Management and Administration Pathway and introduces students to the introductory knowledge and technical skills of working in public service and serving the general public in a government or public administration career. Topics will include identifying personal strengths and weaknesses and include oral and written communication skills, critical thinking for problem solving, developing leadership and teamwork skills, employability skills, and technical skills for this career cluster. The prerequisite for this course is advisor approval.
GRADING:
- 60% - Summative Assessments
- 40% - Formative Assessments
- Semester Exam- 20% of entire grade
- The teacher reserves the right to determine the nature of the assignment and its classification as either summative or formative.
Tutoring: Tutoring will be available before school on Monday-Wednesday from 7-7:25.
Expectations:
1.Show up on Time
2.Be Prepared-Pencil, Paper, Notes
3.Participate
4.Turn in your work on time
5. Be Respectful
6. Use of Google Classroom to complete assignments and review material from that day
Makeup Work: The student has up to 5 school days after they have returned to turn in any missing work from the time of their absence.

- Pen (Blue, Black)
