Course Expectations, Procedures and Grading Policy

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The government course provides students with a background in the philosophy, functions, and structure of the United States government. Students examine the philosophical foundations of the United States government and how that philosophy developed. Students also examine the structure and function of the United States government and its relationship to states and citizens.

TEXTBOOKS:

You will be provided access to the online version of the new textbook and all the digital resources.

If you wish to have a hard copy of your textbook, you can check one out from the library.

GRADING:

-          60% - Summative Assessments

-          40% - Formative Assessments

-          Teacher reserves the right to determine the nature of the assignment and its classification as either summative or formative.

 Expectations:

1.Show up on Time 

2.Be Prepared-Pencil, Paper, Notes 

3.Participate 

4.Turn in your work on time 

5. Be Respectful

-          College Ruled Paper

-          Pencils

-          Pen (Blue, Black)
