Course Expectations, Procedures and Grading Policy

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Introduction to U.S. Intelligence and National Security: Studies provide a basic and broad overview of the career field of Intelligence, the authorized activities of an intelligence professional, the composition of the United States Government Intelligence Community (IC), the various functions of each of the member agencies, the limits and capabilities of Intelligence and how Intelligence plays a role in the decision-making process of the government. This course is also designed to apply critical analysis to the field of U.S. Intelligence.
GRADING:
- 60% - Summative Assessments
- 40% - Formative Assessments
- Semester Exam- 20% of entire grade
- The teacher reserves the right to determine the nature of the assignment and its classification as either summative or formative.
Tutoring: Tutoring will be available before school on Monday-Wednesday from 7-7:25.
2nd Semester: The second semester will be focused on the students completing and presenting a research project based around a topic from the first semester. This will be the primary focus of the semester. Formative assessments will be presented as checkpoints of the student’s progress within the project. The only summative assessments in the second semester will be the project and the presentation.

6. Use of Google Classroom to complete assignments and review material from that day
Makeup Work: The student has up to 5 school days after they have returned to turn in any missing work from the time of their absence.

- Pen (Blue, Black)
